Qualifications include excellent verbal and communication skills, outgoing personality and a positive attitude with lots of energy. College degree and/or previous insurance experience a plus, but not required. We will train the right person. Some overnight travel is required. Position Available: Account Manager
The Account Manager is responsible for qualifying & marketing retail agent submissions and negotiating such submissions to a sale with one of Apogee’s insurer markets. In addition, the Account Manager oversees all customer service aspects related to business written.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Review new business applications & qualify risks.
- Act as a liaison between company underwriters and retail agent customer base.
- Determine proper market for risks & negotiate favorable coverage terms
- Present insurance proposals to retail agents and solicit the sale.
- Establish and maintain good business relationships with retail agents.
- Service maintenance of existing policy base.
Qualifications & Skills Required:
- College Degree
- Insurance experience (2 to 4 years)
- Excellent verbal & written communication
- Good organizational skills
- Detail oriented
- Proficient PC skills
